Chhaap is a colloquial Indian name for "Impression" or "Impression Making".
CHHAAP Foundation (a tribute to Robert Blackburn's legendary studio - Print making Workshop) was established on a cooperative basis in 1999 with a mission to create and promote wider appreciation of original prints and print making techniques.
Chhaap is a non-profit making organization; promoted by three Baroda based printmakers and artists -

The Chhaap workshop has well established infrastructure for etching, dry point, lino-cut, woodcut and mono-print. It offers opportunities to artists and printmakers to work in different printmaking media and is frequented by many senior and international artists, art students and printmaking enthusiastic. Chhaap also offers facilities to artist's working in various media through its collaborations with other art studios in the city. Chhaap offers "Residency" program where national and international artists stay and work at the studio for short durations.
